Terms of Service

By creating an account or using RiderConnect, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms that may apply.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our services. By using RiderConnect, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

If you are using RiderConnect on behalf of a riding group or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.

RiderConnect provides a group ride coordination platform including real-time GPS tracking, group management, chat, budget tracking, route planning, and checkpoint navigation.

You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, state, and national laws, including traffic and road safety regulations.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Any activity under your account is your responsibility.

You agree not to use RiderConnect while actively operating a motor vehicle. All app interactions should be performed when safely stopped or by a passenger.

Using the platform to organize illegal street racing, reckless driving, or any activity that endangers public safety.

Sharing your real-time location data with unauthorized third parties or using others' location data for stalking, harassment, or any malicious purpose.

Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack RiderConnect's software, servers, or security measures.

Creating fake accounts, impersonating other riders, or providing false information during registration.

Using the chat feature to send spam, offensive content, or any material that violates applicable laws or community standards.

Interfering with or disrupting the service, servers, or networks connected to RiderConnect.

You retain ownership of content you create on RiderConnect (messages, ride plans, photos). By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit it as needed to provide our services.

Group admins are responsible for managing their group's membership, settings, and ensuring group activities comply with these terms and applicable laws.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms, is reported by users, or that we deem inappropriate. We may also suspend or terminate groups engaged in prohibited activities.

Ride data, routes, and checkpoint information you create may be used in anonymized, aggregated form to improve our services and develop new features.

RiderConnect's budget tracking and expense management features are provided as organizational tools. We do not process financial transactions between users.

Any financial arrangements between group members (fuel sharing, trip expenses) are solely between the parties involved. RiderConnect is not responsible for disputes arising from such arrangements.

If premium features are introduced in the future, pricing and billing terms will be clearly communicated before any charges are applied. You will have the option to opt in or decline.

All monetary values displayed in the app are for tracking purposes only and do not constitute financial advice or accounting services.

RiderConnect is a coordination tool and does not replace safe riding practices. You are solely responsible for your safety and the safety of others while riding.

GPS tracking, route suggestions, and checkpoint navigation are provided as aids and may not always be accurate. Always exercise independent judgment while riding.

Deviation alerts and safety notifications are automated features and should not be your sole reliance for rider safety. Always maintain direct communication with your group.

RiderConnect is not responsible for accidents, injuries, vehicle damage, or any other incidents that occur during rides coordinated through our platform.

Weather, road conditions, and real-time hazards are your responsibility to assess. Our platform does not provide real-time hazard warnings.

RiderConnect is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RiderConnect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.

Our total liability for any claims arising under these terms shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or INR 5,000, whichever is greater.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other basis.

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting support@riderconnect.com. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in prohibited activities, or if your account has been inactive for more than 24 months.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Data that has been shared within groups (messages, ride plans) may persist in group history for other members.

Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) shall remain in effect.
